Committee formed on computers, technology

The Academy took another step into the high-tech era when the new Committee on the Pediatric Applications of Computers and Technology (PACT) met November 26-27 at the AAP headquarters.

Formation of the committee was one of the recommendations made last year by the Task Force on New Technologies in Pediatric Education. The committee will implement a five-year plan developed by the task force and provide oversight for Academy actions on how members can better use computers and related technologies in continuing medical education, practice management, patient care and research.
