Vice presidential candidates outline their stands on issues

Warren Bosley, M.D.

1. What issues would you see as priorities for the Academy during your term of office as vice president and president, if elected?

I believe the Academy must continue to maintain a responsive presence in the state and federal political arenas. We must realize that we live in a political world, and that children, and their care, are political issues.

We must be prepared to respond to political, economic and social pressures promptly and effectively. It is impossible to avoid being in a position of reaction, for politicians will initiate proposals, well-advised or not, to which we are forced to react.
