Expanding your practice to adolescents can provide greater intellectual and personal stimulation while giving your patients a sense of continuity, Robert Blum, M.D., FAAP, told AAP News in a recent interview. Dr. Blum is associate professor of Pediatrics, Maternal and Child Health, and director, Adolescent Health Program, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn. He will address several aspects of adolescent medicine at the AAP Continuing Medical Education course "Advances in Pediatrics II," Dec. 6-8 in Williamsburg, Va.
