How we're doin': Haggerty assesses year's accomplishments

The mayor of New York, Ed Koch, is fond of calling out "How'm I doin'?" to crowds in the city.

I would like to have the opportunity to ask all AAP members the same question; however, in the absence of such an opportunity, let me assess how we're doin'. I emphasize we're because the Academy truly is directed by a collective leadership.

I believe that an AAP president should lead and not just follow, create and not just maintain the status quo.
