Grants for interns, residents

Annually, the Academy grants a small number of fellowships to young physicians to help them complete their pediatric training. The $1,000 and $3,000 awards will go to pediatric interns and residents for the year beginning July 1, 1986.

Fellowship candidates must meet the following requirements:

• be legal residents of the United States or Canada;

• have completed, or will have completed by July 1, a qualifying internship (P1-0) or have completed a P1-1 program, and have made a definite commitment for a first year pediatric residency (P1-1 or P1-2) acceptable to the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP); or
