AAP courses help physicians become computer-literate

Since the notion of AAP-sponsored programs on computers was first suggested about four years ago, the Academy has undertaken a number of steps to help its members become computer knowledgeable — including sponsorship of a Continuing Medical Education (CME) course and a special Annual Meeting seminar.

About 85 people attended the AAP CME course on computers held during September in New York, while 45 people attended the special 12-hour computer seminar at the AAP Annual Meeting in San Antonio. Both courses received some of the highest evaluations ever submitted for an AAP course.
