CHAPTER NEWSLINE

Membership drive

The Academy will launch a three-month intensive recruitment drive in January with the aim of gaining 2,000 new members.

Chapter leaders are encouraged to take part in the campaign by visiting pediatric training centers to recruit residents and academicians or through peer recruitment of board-certified pediatricians.

As part of the campaign, the Academy will target a series of direct mailings to about 10,000 physicians eligible for membership — pediatric residents, specialty physicians and board-certified pediatricians who are not Academy members. In addition, advertisements will be placed in medical journals and posters will be distributed in hospitals to increase awareness of the Academy.
