"Every Ride" winners urge seat belt use through statewide programs

Members in Colorado are working to educate migrant farm workers and their families about safety restraints and provide the families with car seats and seat belts as necessary.

Colorado is one of 10 AAP chapters that each received a $3,000 grant to carry out projects encouraging compliance with child seat belt and safety laws. The grants were awarded in May by the National Highway Traffic Safety Associaton in cooperation with the AAP "Make Every Ride...A Safe Ride" program.
