Academy plans definitive guide for parents on child care

Telling parents how to raise their children is big business these days.

In a recent review of parenting literature, the Academy discovered more than 350 titles, varying in their approach from straightforward volumes designed to help parents diagnose their children's physical problems to those intent on shaping emotional growth.
