Reform is an opportunity that can't be missed

DENVER — AAP President Betty Lowe, M.D., told pediatricians that health care reform is an opportunity they can't afford to miss.

"The reform measures that are being debated on Capitol Hill probably represent the greatest (health care legislation) since Medicare and Medicaid 25 years ago, and Social Security in the 1930s," Dr. Lowe said during her president's address at the 1994 AAP Spring Session.
