Children who have suffered traumatic brain injury (TBI) could be at risk for psychiatric disorders two years later, an Iowa study showed. Researchers tested 42 subjects 24 months after TBI to determine frequency of psychiatric disorders. Severity of injury, lifetime psychiatric disorder, behavior/adaptive function, family psychiatric history, family function and socioeconomic class were assessed.
