A study of the impact of recent recommendations for widespread use of inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) on immunization rates and health supervision compliance is being conducted jointly by Pediatric Research in Office Settings (PROS), the AAP practice-based research network, and the Pediatric Section of the National Medical Association (NMA) the 100-year-old African American physician organization. The study is funded by the National Immunization Program of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
