FaxBack assists 200 in first month

Since it became available last month, the AAP FaxBack system has been used to process requests for more than 200 documents, including more than 30 Annual Meeting registrations.

FaxBack offers Academy information to members 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To access the FaxBack system, call (847) 758-0391 and follow the voice-prompted instructions.

For easy navigation, the FaxBack system has three indices:

• a general index organized by topic, with information about professional education, publications, advocacy, research and membership;

• a Medicaid state report index, featuring fiscal year 1995 reports; and

• a policy statement index, with approximately 50 of the most requested statements.

These indices will be updated often to include new documents and fors.

Please note, a total of three documents may be requested in any one FaxBack session. After a caller completes a session, the system will try to fax requests to the fax machine specified. If a busy signal is encountered on the first try, FaxBack will make three more attempts to send at 5-minute intervals.
