Read Me a Story helps doctors, parents foster literacy

America is in a reading crisis. Far too many children — including those you see daily in your practice — are growing up without the reading skills they need to succeed in school and life.

Recent studies reveal that:

• More than 40 percent of fourth graders read below grade level.*
