Academy honors outgoing FCC chairman

"If I was allowed to, I would be giving the Academy an award for their work on behalf of children, instead of receiving one," said Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Immediate Past Chairman Reed Hundt.

Those were the sentiments Hundt expressed to D.C. Chapter Board Member Maureen Edwards, M.D., FAAP, as she presented him with the Academy's 1997 Excellence in Public Service Award on Oct. 24.
