A call to members: Prove the value of pediatric care

Dear Colleagues:

Since I assumed the office of president four months ago, I have had the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with a great many of you. This has been not only enjoyable for me, but also a source of valuable information. Many of you are concerned about spreading the good word about our profession. I agree! If we don't do it, who will?

As I have mentioned many times before and during my presidency, one of my major goals is to promote the value of the pediatrician. This has become even more critical as managed care weighs numerous options for providing primary care for children.
