Kids' excessive TV use

The majority of children age 2 to 8 are exposed to adult advertising and close to half watch violence on the evening news, despite parental monitoring, according to an Italian study.

Television viewing among children age 2 to 8 is a result of parents' attitudes about TV, the study showed, prompting investigation into other contributing factors.
