Academy begins drive to teach youth Media Matters

Culminating more than 25 years of addressing the impact of media on children and adolescents, the Academy is launching Media Matters, a five-year national media education campaign targeting physicians, parents and youth.

In the face of rapidly expanding media technology, "the only effective response is to encourage media-resistant families through media education," said Marjorie Hogan, M.D., AAP Committee on Communications (CoComm) chairperson.
