Researchers say there might be a connection between juvenile and adult panic disorder, suggesting that early identification might be possible. A recent study was conducted to see if correlates and course of juvenile panic disorder were similar to the adult form, for example, if it co-existed with other disorders like agoraphobia (the fear of open spaces), social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, separation anxiety disorder, and/or depression.
