1997 Spring Session features Judge Gill, Joan Embery

Keynote Address Judge Charles D. Gill Saturday, May 10 8:30 a.m.

Judge Charles D. Gill, a Connecticut Superior Court Judge for 14 years, is one of the world's foremost advocates for the rights of children.

Among his many accomplishments, Judge Gill co-founded the National Task Force for Children's Constitutional Rights and the National Committee for the Rights of the Child. He has been honored by the Bush and Clinton administrations and in 1989 received the justice department's Annual Crime Victim's Award. He has spoken to over 200 groups nationally and has addressed the Ambassadors to the United Nations on children's need for constitutional protections.
