Pediatricians' concerns about prescribing tricyclic antidepressants are on the rise with reports of the sudden deaths of two children who had taken them, a study reports. The two deaths bring the total number of tricyclic-associated deaths in children to seven since 1990. The deaths coincide with a widening pattern of prescribing these antidepressants for children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and/or depression, researchers reported.
