Children with moderate lead levels in their blood experience sleep disturbances up to four years after exposure, Rhode Island researchers found. In a cross-sectional study, 75 children, ages 12 to 72 months, were assessed using standard checks of blood lead levels. Based on peak lifetime lead levels, they were divided into two groups: low lead exposure and moderate/high exposure.
