Section on Home Health headed for full section status

Division of Sections

In February, the American Academy of Pediatrics Provisional Section on Home Health was approved for full section status, pending Board approval in June. This action brings to 43 the number of AAP sections; one provisional section remains.

The Section on Home Health was granted provisional status in 1993, and since then has grown to over seventy members. In granting full section status, the Committee on Sections Management (COSMAN) and the Committee on Sections (COS) recognized the prominent role that home health care plays in managed care and pediatric practice.
