Alcohol abuse

Most young adults, ages 18-29, outgrow abusive drinking patterns as their responsibilities increase, a study revealed.

Researchers compiled data regarding prevalence, patterns and consequences of youthful drinking.

Analysis of alcohol consumption patterns showed:

• 83 percent of high school graduates had consumed alcohol in the past year;

• 67 percent had consumed alcohol within the last 30 days;
