Washington embraces pediatricians' expertise

AAP President Robert Hannemann, M.D., recently had the ear of President Bill Clinton ... and federal lawmakers ... and even Hillary Rodham Clinton while in the nation's capitol representing pediatricians as the experts on early childhood development and other children's health issues.

An invitee to several events at the White House and on Capitol Hill, Dr. Hannemann's presence underscored the value of pediatricians as providers of care for the nation's children. Those events included:
