Emergency partnership

The Academy has become the newest member of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Partnership for Children Consortium, a group that is working to ensure proper and timely emergency care for children.

In addition, the Academy is co-sponsoring a national. "Congress on Childhood Emergencies" conference, to be held in Washington, D.C., on March 22-24, 1998. The conference will be hosted by the Emergency Medical Services for Children program.

The Partners for Children consortium was initiated by the Health Resources and Services Administration, and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, in collaboration with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
