Chan fills new CIO role at Academy

Antony Chan recently joined the AAP headquarters office staff in Elk Grove Village as Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this newly created position, Chan is charged with directing all information technology systems activities; developing the overall strategy for systems development, hardware acquisition and integration; and providing Academy-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for data processing and information systems.

He brings to the post 14 years of advanced technological experience; 12 of those years were at the American Dental Association (ADA) where he held the titles of CIO and director of the Information Technology Division. While at the ADA, he oversaw the development of strategy and selection of new hardware and software architecture.
