The Academy and its members were featured as advocates for child health and safety in national and local media during July.

Health care coverage was the topic of a July 30 New York Times article that featured AAP President Robert Hannemann, M.D. In the sarne issue, as part of a separate story about the Hepatitis B vaccination, Neal Halsey, M.D., FAAP, was quoted.

• The risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in child care centers was the topic of a July 9 USA Today article that included a quote by John Kathvinkel, M.D., FAAP.

Other national placements for the Academy in July included: lactation programs, Washington Post, July 1; television ratings, Los Angeles Times, July 10; health insurance, New York Times, July 10; and health insurance, Wall Street Journal July 14.
