Parents deserve reminder that children are worth the time

Joseph R. Zanga M.D., FAAP1

1 President, American Academy of Pediatrics

Dear Colleagues:

Child rearing is a time-intensive profession. Several years ago, I inventoried all of the things that are important in anticipatory guidance, and discovered that to do all those things at each well-child visit would take approximately 45 minutes. It would be important time, but there will simply never be enough of us or hours in the day to make that happen.
