The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is alerting medical professionals about a new requirement to safeguard patients from electrical hazards. The new FDA standard was established to safeguard patients. against harm, including serious burns or death, if connected to a device by lead wires or cables that are accidentally plugged into an electrical outlet.
