AAP testifies at congressional hearing

Ralph Kauffman, M.D., FAAP, talked with Rep. Karen McCarthy (D-Mo.) after testifying at an Oct. 7 congressional hearing about the implementation of FDA reform regulations. The hearing covered such issues as pediatric drug labeling, medical devices for children and drug trials in pediatric populations. Dr. Kauffman is a former chair of the AAP Committee on Drugs and is the director of medical research at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City Mo.
