1998 Annual Meeting

Pediatricians honed their skills in tracheal intubation, and reviewed the basics of pediatric CPR, including airway management during the Critical Care Procedures Workshop. A didactic lecture was followed by hands-on practice with bag-valve-bag ventilation, intraosseous needle insertion, arrhythmia review and vascular access.

The coveted Meconium Cup was at stake during the annual Pediatric Bowl, which pitted Stanford University against University of California, San Francisco. Teams of pediatricians answered questions testing clinical acumen and knowledge of pediatric trivia.
