AAP News Vol. 14 No. 3 March 1998, p. 22 © 1998 American Academy of Pediatrics
The American Academy of Pediatrics has embarked on a major new initiative to educate pediatricians and families on brain development. It will help them understand the implications of new neuroscience data validating a child's environment as having a long-term impact on the child's emotional, social, cognitive and physical development. This initiative represents a three-year commitment supported by an educational grant from Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Professional and Educational Services.
