Chapters high on advocacy, want help recruiting, retaining members

AAP Division of State Govemment and Chapter Affairs

Advocacy is the main thrust of AAP chapter activities, and assistance with membership recruitment and retention is a major need, according to an inaugural needs assessment of chapter officers and executive directors conducted in spring 1997 by the division of State Government and Chapter Affairs. The purpose of the survey was to evaluate the current national office services available to chapters and to determine chapters' future needs.
