SCHIP approved in 3 more states; research conference slated

As three more states win federal approval of their plans for the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), the Academy is convening a national workshop to design a method of ensuring the plans actually work.

The workshop, "Developing a SCHIP Evaluation Tool," will be held May 11 to May 12 at the ANA Hotel, Washington, D.C. The Academy has invited 90 representatives of child, advocacy and research organizations to develop a research instrument for measuring SCHIP access, process and outcomes.
