New district approved for Southeastern states

A new AAP district, District X, comprised of the Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Puerto Rico chapters, has been approved by the Board of Directors and will be officially implemented July 1, 1999. Creation of the 10th district is aimed at rectifying disproportionate member populations between districts.

Not since the addition of District IX in 1967 has the Academy undertaken redistricting.
