Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lead screening questionnaires failed to efficiently identify children with lead toxicity and might result in children undergoing unnecessary blood tests, according to Arizona researchers. Participants were 368 subjects, ages 6 months to 72 months, living on a Navajo reservation in Ganado, Ariz. Each child was tested for lead poisoning and administered the CDC lead screening questionnaire.
