Enrollment increasing in new AAP membersip categories

AAP membership enrollment is on the rise among osteopathic pediatricians and pediatric dentists, two of the three pediatric specialty groups to which membership was extended under bylaw changes approved last May by members.

Since the referendum passed, 75 pediatric osteopaths, or close to 40 percent of those eligible, have joined the ranks as full AAP Fellows, and 100 pediatric dentists have enrolled as AAP associate members, according to Kenneth M. Slaw, Ph.D., director, AAP Department of Member, State and Chapter Affairs.
