The making of a child advocate

More than 100 pediatricians from 44 AAP chapters converged on Washington. D.C., for the 11th Annual AAP Legislative Conference with a common mission — speaking up on behalf of children and related health issues. The conference, held April 26 to April 28, was sponsored by the AAP Council on Government Affairs (COGA) and the AAP Committee on State Government Affairs (COSGA). It was designed to give participants the skills necessary to work more effectively with state and federal legislators to positively impact children's lives through laws and regulations.
