Keynoters call for universal access, hit child health care 'rationing'

Underserved children were on the minds and in the hearts of pediatricians attending the 1999 AAP Spring Session in April in Chicago.

"The stock market is soaring, the Dow has broken 10,000, and our country remains the wealthiest, strongest democracy the world has known," AAP President Joel Alpert remarked during the conference opening session.
