Signs of child abuse to be discussed at CME dermatology course

Seven to 10 U.S. children die each year from abuse and an estimated 1.5 million children are abused each year.

A presentation at the AAP Continuing Medical Education course titled "Dermatology for the Pediatrician" aims to help pediatricians become more aware of the subtle signs of child abuse and prevent further abuse, according to presenter Lawrence Schachner, M.D., FAAP. The course will take place March 14-16 in Washington, D.C.
