In Memoriam

James A. Kangos, M.D., FAAP, of Newington, Conn., died June 5. He was 34.

A member of the AAP Connecticut Chapter Committee on Government Affairs. Dr. Kangos was instrumental in introducing state legislation to provide judicial review of all children placed voluntarily by their parents with the state Department of Child and Youth Services.

Although the "Kangos Bill" did not pass this year, the AAP Connecticut Chapter will re-submit it next year on Dr. Kangos' behalf.
