Educational, social programs for Annual Meeting previewed

Child abuse, children and television, and practice management are among the topics that will be addressed at the AAP Annual Meeting, which will be held Nov. 1-6 in Washington, D.C. Below is a round-up of some of the week's activities.

Plenary sessions

On Nov. 3, Dr. Smith will open the plenary sessions followed by keynote speaker William H. Foege, M.D. Dr. Foege, executive director of the Task Force for Child Survival and president of the American Public Health Association, will discuss child health in the developing world.
