Vice presidential candidates named

Two AAP Executive Board members have been named as the new candidates for AAP vice president.

James Lione, M.D., of Little Neck, N.Y., and Donald Schiff, M.D., of Littleton, Colo., are the candidates, said National Nominating Committee Chairman Anthony DeSpirito, M.D.

Dr. Lione was in private practice in pediatrics for 28 years and is now chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Flushing Hospital and Medical Center in Flushing, N.Y. He has served as chairman and alternate chairman of New York Chapter 2. He was elected District II chairman in 1981. He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 1946.
