CHAPTER NEWSLINE

Mississippi: Teen pregnancy

In response to a report which shows that more than 9,000 babies were born to Mississippi teens in 1985, the AAP Mississippi Chapter adopted a resolution to support a comprehensive health education program in public schools.

The chapter resolution backs a health education plan which is now under development by the State Department of Education. The program would begin in kindergarten and continue through grade 12.
