Teamwork

Panelists take their places as the production crew makes some last minute adjustments before going on-air with the video teleconfernce "Decision-Making for Early Services: A Team Approach." About 2,900 people at 75 sites around the country participated in the teleconference and workshop March 6 aimed at improving the team decision-making skills of professionals serving children with disabilities. The conference was the second phase of Project BRIDGE (Building Relationships for Infants with Disabilities through Group Education), a three-year program launched in 1984 by the Academy and the U.S. Department of Education. The final phase of the program involves training and consultation, provided through a regional education program.
