North Carolina: Selecting PR counsel

As Academy chapters become increasingly more involved in projects that promote child health, some chapters are looking toward outside resources to supplement their activities.

The AAP North Carolina Chapter, for example, has enlisted the help of an outside public relations firm for the last three years.

The chapter hired the firm to help them increase media coverage of child health issues throughout the state.

"We just didn't think we were getting a very good distribution," said Chapter Chairman George Prince, M.D.
