AAP News Vol. 2 No. 4 April 1986, p. 18 © 1986 American Academy of Pediatrics

For several months now I have had a notion to write regarding my feelings about the AAP News. With the January 1986 "Insight" column regarding how important it is to have good communication, I felt inclined to do so. Personally, I have not been fond of the AAP News, and believe that News and Comment was more effective and perhaps better read. I found the articles in News and Comment, because of the fact that it was not large in scope, were always well written, covered the subjects adequately, and were very easy to keep for reference. I have found that with the AAP News that there is a lot of filler articles and that it is harder to find what is really pertinent, and I personally just don't read it nearly as completely as I did News and Comment. I always developed the habit of reading every word in News and Comment because I felt that it all was very important.
