"I played football. I boxed. I was hurt more playing football than I was hurt boxing, but the thing about American football that is different about boxing is that the intent of the sport is not to deliberately harm the brain of the opponent. "Now many people say, `Yeah, but there are a lot of linebackers who try to put the quarterback out of the game,' and that may be true, but if the quarterback goes out of the game there's another quarterback....That's not how you win the game. You win the game by scoring points, scoring more goals, etc. That's the intent of the game, not to destroy someone else's brain. So it's morally different in my way of looking at it."
