Jacobi Award goes to former Grulee winner

This Year's recipient of the Abraham Jacobi Award is Samuel L. Katz, M.D., FAAP, a top expert in the study of infectious disease and immunization.

Dr. Katz, a past recipient of the prestigious AAP Grulee Award, was honored at the AAP Spring Session in Orlando.

The author of numerous articles and book sections, Dr. Katz is a professor and chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, N.C., and a past chairman of the AAP Committee on Infectious Diseases.
